NIda akhtar

Welcome to my
studio

Hi! I’m Nida Akhtar. I’m a Fine Artist, who creates art for women who craves deep connection with nature and carefully decorated their home close to their natural style and a slower way of life.

My style is very organic and natural. I like to create an impressionist style in my art who describes imperfection. I spend most of my days in the small corner of my home studio where I enjoy the morning sunlight coming through the window and creating a hazy atmosphere in the room while I am creating the art or rearranging the finish pieces. When you enter my studio you will smell the brilliant , crimson roses swirl with fragrant lilies and white musk aroma scented candles and smell of fresh paint.

Even Though my space is filled with unfinished and finished pieces of my work. I always have something new going on as new ideas coming into the play. You’ll find every bit of medium in my art collection. I mainly work in acrylic paint. I like the versatility of acrylic paint that it offers. It is very forgiving and lets create many sheer layers on top of each other. You will also find my work in oils, watercolors and gouaches. I enjoy creating in different mediums it allows me to stay loose in my practice. One of my goals is to create my studio space, a freedom of mind and letting go of the perfection ideals and giving permission to play with everything surrounding and enjoying nature.

Growing up in Pakistan left me admire the true beauty of colors and offer a deep appreciation of nature that carry all those colors very differently in each season. I was in the engineering program before coming to the States, took art classes to refine my skills and got married and had kids and I stopped everything to spend time with kids. Now I have four daughters who are the true inspiration of my art practice; they are the colors in my life. When I’m not in my studio, I am likely taking walks, enjoying nature, spending time with my family, cooking or watching movies on Lifetime, and fixer upper show on HGTV.

I hope you’ll join the collector list and follow along my artistic journey. I always start working from an inspiration and the process of expiration leads me to another path which ends up in the beautiful collection of work. And I always share my process in detail with my collectors so they can be part of my explorer journey.
